A little about me...
I became fascinated with photography the first time I walked into a darkroom at Eastern Washington University. I soon decided to pursue a career in art and graduated with degrees in both Art and Mathematics. I have discovered how both the technical and artistic aspects of photography play a vital role and, when brought together, create optimal beauty.
I enjoy capturing nature in both my fine art photography as well as in artistic portraits. I attribute my respect for nature to having grown up in the beautiful hills of Columbia County near Dayton, Washington. If you ever have a chance to go there, do so, it's beautiful.
I also enjoyed the time I spent teaching traditional 35mm photography at Spokane Art School until its closure. I had the wonderful experience of teaching both adults and children camera and darkroom techniques. My students
learned about cameras, the proper use of equipment, and how to develop
black and white photos in a darkroom. We also studied the
principles of traditional photography and study many of the masters of
photography, such as Ansel Adams, and Dorothea Lange.
When I'm not behind the camera I am spending time with my son and husband. We enjoy riding bikes, traveling, spending time with friends, and going to the beach.
